So this is the essay. I have a hard time getting things to flow, and just need some criticism.

Topic: Many students expand their view of the world during their time in college. Such growth often results from encounters between students who have lived different cultural, economic, or academic experiences. With your future growth in mind, describe a potential classmate that you believe you could learn from either within or outside a formal classroom environment.

If there was one student that encompassed everything that I needed and wanted to learn, and it was a simple monkey-see-monkey-do sort of situation, this essay would be a breeze. This, however, is not plausible. Everywhere I look and everyone I encounter is a possible learning tool. A doctor I once shadowed was talking about how insane the lottery was at the time. If he ever won it, he would go back to school. I thought this man was insane. After all those years and an amazing career, he would spend his lottery earnings and the rest of his life in a classroom?
Even if I never stepped into another classroom, I still could not stop learning. Walking around campus, I see so many students that I should emulate. A girl is chomping on a pear instead of a donut, someone is studying calculus in the grass, and a boy is wearing a backpack slung over both shoulders instead of the popular messenger bag I carry my laptop around in. A potential classmate that I could learn from, however, would be someone who does not just have different cultural, economical, and academic experiences, but simply is my complete opposite.
This invented student would be organized, confident, patient, and attentive. I am messy, shy, and disoriented, and at the same time, motivated. If this person were my complete opposite, we could learn endlessly from each other. Relationships do not work if they are parasitic?they have to be contained through mutualism.
In other words, a potential classmate that I would most benefit from would be an amazing friend. They would be there to help me correct my term papers, and I would be there to help memorize biology. I could show them how to cut corners with grocery bills, and they could teach me how to dance.
