Help with fafsa

I will be applying to colleges this coming fall. I just have a few questions about fafsa. My mother gets disability and i also dont work. Do still have to fill out some of this info on the fafsa about income and stuff. PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS PROCESS TO ME

When you start to actually fill in the online form, a lot of your questions will be answered. The form itself will tell what sorts of income go where, what to do if you don’t file taxes at all, etc. If you want to know more, browse the website: [Home - FAFSA on the Web-Federal Student Aid](http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/#) There is lots of information there.

You cannot submit the FAFSA until January 1 next year. It’s probably wise to submit it early (January, February).

If you want an idea of which documents are necessary, and you’d like to know what your results are likely to be, here is the link to the FAFSA formula itself http://www.ifap.ed.gov/efcformulaguide/attachments/101310EFCFormulaGuide1112.pdf</a> You can print it out and work through it on paper with your mother. That will make you a lot more confident when you have to do it for real in 2012.
