Help with fall schedule

Hey I'm going to be a freshman this fall at UCSB and I'm a mathematics major in the college of letters and science and I'm really confused as to what classes to take this quarter.
Also with math, I've already taken Calc/Analytical Geometry I and II at a college in my area, so I'm kind of lost on what I need to take and what I don't need to..
help please? :)

As a freshman you have a whole mess of GE courses you need to take, so I would suggest to start with that. ^_^

owl, have you taken a look at what your pre-reqs for the math major are?

And. . .you do have a copy of the LASAR, right?

I’ve looked at the prereqs but I just felt overwhelmed at the moment! >.<
I just hoped someone could start me off…yeah…
but I’m also already done with calcI and II as college classes, I was planning on taking III next summer with the same professor at a college near my house…so I have no clue…maybe I should just focus on ge’s this semester? but I miss math…so idk which math I can take…maybe stats? :</p>

Since you’re a math major (and you appear to not want to take math 3c but i suggest to just get it over with now) try to take math8 which you’ll have to take later on to move along within the major. Math8 is introduction to proofs so make sure you learn the material well as all subsequent math courses are based off of the material learned in the course. It’ll teach you how to properly prove or disprove any claim thrown at you.

ok thanks so much! I’ll make a note of math8, and also, I’m not sure if I should take a science like chem, just in case I decide to double major later…or should I stick with a lighter schedule this first semester and do just one math no science?..
