Help with financial aid for an international student?

Hey guys,
I've been looking around at alot of schools in America, even though Im Canadian, because these schools tend to be a little bit... stronger. Anyways, as an international student, this means I have to pay CRAZY prices on tuition and such. With that in mind, I was wondering if you could help me by giving me some good schools that offer need based financial aid to international students? I was looking at school like UCLA, USC, Columbia, and others to give you perspective. I like the idea of staying West Coast, but want to go to a strong business school more than anything, so will leave this side if needed. Europe is an option.

DETAILS ABOUT ME:
Im in Grade 11 at an IB school in Vancouver, Canada. I expect to get at least 38, but more likely 42 on my predicteds.

Extra- curriculars:
2 soccer teams
1 hockey team
2 service groups which I created in my community
Writing for a soccer website
Film competitions regularly participated and accepted
Model United Nations
Student Voice
A Part time job in mechanics, if that counts

Thanks for your help guys, any suggestions of what to do or schools to look at that will help a Canadian out in America are much much much appreciated. Thanks!

There are six US colleges that are need blind and meet full need for internationals:

Amherst, Dartmouth, MIT, Harvard, Yale, and Princeton

You can omit UCLA or any UC right now, because it is a public university that doesn’t give aid to internationals. Check each college website for that info.

“UCLA does not award scholarships or financial aid to undergraduate students who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States.”

OP: You are one of a handful of Canadians who feel that Canada is not good enough for them. If you need financial aid to attend an American university, and cannot get into the handful of US schools that award financial aid to internationals, you may have to “settle” for UBC, McGill or Toronto,

Oh please. There are a number of U.S. students attending college in Canada because there are some terrific colleges there AND the cost of attending is very modest compared to those schools you are listing in the U.S.

As noted, McGill is internationally well known. University of Toronto is fine too. I’m not familiar with the Canadian colleges in the western part of Canada, but I bet there are some fine colleges in that neck of the woods too.

Please understand also, as an international student, acceptance rates are in the single digits at those highly competitive schools.

OP: You should do some more research on schools: UCLA and Columbia do not have undergraduate business schools.
