Help with finding schools that seem to fit me/Transfer Chances

<p>High School GPA 2.8
College GPA (One semester at Nassau Community College) 3.688 18 credits
SAT ~1280 (this is just the 2 scores, i forget what my score was with the essay section)
I don't really have any ECs, but I have worked close to 20 hours a week while in school. I'm looking to go for a History major. Right now the only school that really pops out at me is American University. A few questions:
Do I seem to have a good chance at getting into American University?
Are there any other colleges that you guys think I would like (I prefer a city enviroment, but it doesn't really matter)?
Is it worth it to try to pick up some ECs this late in the game?</p>

<p>We have nearly the same stats...Except my SAT was a 1250/1600 (lower) and my HS GPA was 3.5 (higher). Evens out though.</p>

<p>Yeah, I am planning on applying at American, but I want other schools I might be interested in/chances. Sorry if I'm coming off like too much of a pest.</p>
