so we're picking next year's classes and I was planning on taking:
AP Gov
AP Euro
AP Econ
AP Calc AB
AP Lit
Honors Financial Mgt./Marketing

my question is when applying EA/ED for colleges, do they see first quarter grades and classes. if not, would it be advisable to take only 3 or 4 APs rather than 5? I plan on applying EA to Villanova and UVA and ED to Haverford. thanks in advance

I think it depends on the school. They only see semester grades at mine.

Some school might require your first quarter report card, while some may not. But keep in mind, the rigor of your senior year courses counts.

It depends on the school you’re applying to and when your first quarter grades come out.
For example, my school is on a 2-semester system. We still have a couple weeks left in our first semester, so my ED school wasn’t able to see any of my senior grades when they made their decision.

do colleges at least see your senior course-load for ED, or do they not see anything unless deferred?

You have to report your Senior year courses on your application. Rigor of courseload is extremely important.

It is up to each ED school whether or not it decides to look at your first quarter grades (if the grades are released by the beginning of December). For regular decisions, most colleges ask for your mid-year progress.

my next question is: would it be unsubstantial to take AP Physics instead of marketing? because I kinda do want an easy ‘a’ class, or should I sign my life away and take all APs?
