I'm an out of state student applying to UCLA and UCSD. For the course listings, several of my classes are counted as honors in my school, but are not UC-approved honors. I included "honors" in the names of the courses, but selected NH (not honors) on the drop-down list (e.g. I typed in Sophomore Honors English and chose NH). Another applicant recently told me that he marked all of his honors courses as honors, regardless of whether they were UC-approved, and assumed that when calculating his GPA, the admissions office would simply know that they were not UC-approved and would not weigh them. Which method is correct?

I've contacted the admissions office, and they were less than helpful, and the other posts on CC seem mostly to be about what counts as UC-honors, not how to fill out the app, so I would really appreciate any info!
