Help with International Class Essay

Hi everyone,

I am currently a U.S. professional student working toward an advance degree. I’m taking a class right now through my college to prepare for studying aboard in the next year or two. I have to write an essay about professionalism and timeliness in another country other than the U.S. If anyone has a couple minutes free time to help me (since I have to have a short correspondence with someone from another country) it would be really appreciated! I just need some questions answered, multiple responses from different people would be really appreciated as well!

  1. What is your name? (First name is just fine, I do not need a last name) What stage in your professional/scholastic career are you in (ex. high school student, undergraduate, professional student, not in school but working fulltime, etc.)?
  2. What country are you originally from?
  3. Have you worked or studied in the U.S? If so, for how long?
  4. How would your country define timeliness in a professional setting? (ex. at work, school, etc.)
  5. What are some consequences of missing deadlines in your country? Does it differ in a professional setting vs. a school setting?
  6. Are there any instances where missing a deadline is okay, or practiced commonly?
  7. Do you have any personal examples you can mention about missing a deadline and the consequences you suffered because of it?
  8. If you have any experience in the U.S., does your country's definition of timeliness differ than what you experience in the U.S.?

Thanks again for anyone who responds!

Penny

I can help, but I need some time to fully respond to the prompt(im in college)

Why don’t you interview international students in person at your own college? Or immigrants in your community?

I would not advise anyone on this forum to share that level or personal detail (especially not a name) with a random stranger on the internet.

^^ True, but some of them are legit int. kids
