Help With Junior Year Schedule

Okay so my cumulative GPA is somewhere in the 4.04 W range (not very weighted) and around the 3.75 - 3.8 UW range which isn't too good. I had a really rough first quarter this year adjusting to AP's and all but I've got it together now. So I need some help deciding on my schedule for junior year. First I need to decide on core classes, then electives. The issue is, I eventually have to take phyics and we can't take AP without having taken regular/honors.

Option 1:
APUSH
AP English
AP Chem or Bio
H. Precalc
H. Latin IV/V
Theology III
Electives: AP Stat, AP Psych, H. Wind and Percussion Ensemble

Option 2:
H. US
AP English
AP Chem or Bio
H. Precalc
Latin IV/V
Theology III
Electives: Same as above

Option 3:
APUSH
AP English
H. Physics
H. Precalc
Latin IV/V
Theology III
Electives: AP Chem, AP Bio, AP Stats, AP Psych

I'd kill to have that GPA.

But I'd just go with your gut feeling because only you know what you're going to be comfortable with, only you know how your school is etc...

I'd say go for option 3, get your physics out of the way. Then in your senior year you're not left with a feeling that you "have" to take something.

Do you mind reading copious amounts of history? If you do, go with the second one, and if you don't, the first one's great. Switch out the AP Science for the honors physics. Just please don't pick the third option, that's insane. You need to have a life. :]

I would definitely recommend the APUSH and AP English.

The science depends on which strength you have - personally I love physics so I would choose option 3 with AP Stat and AP Psych as electives and then AP Physics senior year. (At our school H is required before AP as well, but one kid managed to bypass it and is now taking AP as a junior, maybe you could explore this slim possibility?)

If you're not a physics person than perhaps option 1 is better. Whatever's best for you.

I thought option 3 would provide more "life" than the other options.

hey raiderade - we were just chatting about ap stats. But on your question, my daughter took 5 AP classes this year. I can't imagine doing one more... she'd have no time for anything, including sleep! And that means gving up wind ensemble. My d skipped honors physics and took AP physics. You could check with guidance - maybe they'd make an exception for you.

Thanks for all the help, I'm thinking maybe I could do study some basic physics on my own over the summer and just take AP Physics as my science for next year if my GC will allow me, but maybe that would be too hard, I'm not sure.

Option 1...

if i were you i would do option 3 and then ap chem or ap bio as an elective. Thats basically what i did for my junior year
