Help with Liberal Arts schools!!

Hey guys,

I know y'all are awesome at gauging whether stats are good enough to get into certain colleges, so I'd like your advice. Here are my stats:

GPA: 4.0 weighted
Standardized Tests: ACT, now 31 after Oct. test
SATII- World History 730 Taking Writing and IIC in Dec.
7 APs, numerous Honors, two college classes
Major: Russian Studies
One of the most competitive schools in NC, so thus, class rank of around 100 / 370

ECs: Founder- Fencing Club, Captain- Debate (National Qualifier and State Finalist), NHS, Co-Founder- Young Democrats, Youth Group, AFS student liaison for high school
Went to Russia last summer for a foreign exchange trip

Letters of rec: great
Essays: Should be pretty good

Colleges: Middlebury (ED), Colgate, Hamilton, GWU, Dickinson, UNC-CH, Georgetown (Just for the heck of it)

Any suggestions? Thanks!

how do you have a 4.0 if you're only in the top 25% of your class?

Because its his weighted gpa. I have a 4.2 and i'm 210 in my class.

you are in all those schools georgetown might be tougher but still a competitive applicant

Just my 2 cents about:

Middlebury (ED): Good
Colgate: Good
Hamilton: Very Good
GWU: Very Good
Dickinson: Very Good
UNC-Chapel Hill: Very Good
Georgetown: Okay

Again, just my thoughts. Hope this is of use.

You have a good chance at Middlebury ED1. My only concern is your class rank--you're in the top 30% of your class, which is good for most schools. But keep in mind that 96% of students at Midd are in the top 25% of their class. The other 4% are likely students with great hooks, athletes, and URMs. But you say your school doesn't report class rank, which improves things. You have to remember, however, that schools like Midd and Georgetown receive a lot of applications from top high schools, so they have an idea of where kids will fall in the mix, even in the absence of official class rank.

I'd say Georgetown is still a reach, it's insanely tough..

If you're looking at that and GWU, you should check into American University also

Yea, I looked into American, but I really didn't like it too much. My high school is INSANELY tough. Hopefully most colleges will recognize this. My grades are only so-so, but i have taken 7 APs and 2 UNC-CH classes, so hopefully this will factor in. Thanks for all your help!

bump for any more info

Would also look at Bowdoin, Holy Cross, or Trinity as matches.
