Help with list

Hi! So far my list of schools to apply to consists of:
The University of South Carolina
Florida State University
Ohio State University
University of Notre Dame
University of Michigan (legacy)
University of Wisconsin

Does anyone else have any recommendations? I am from Michigan, but would really like to look out-of-state, so I am looking at schools that give good merit scholarships/financial aid. I am interested in studying business.

Stats:
33 ACT
3.89 UW GPA
4.0556 W GPA
4 AP classes (2 more senior year)
5 Honors Classes (1 senior year)

Student Congress (elected treasurer)
Tennis
Golf (captain senior year)
Key Club
National Honors Society
Unified Sports
Counselor at a camp for kids with Muscular Dystrophy
Work at a University of Michigan golf course

Please let me know if you have any suggestions as to where else I could apply (besides Alabama). Thanks!

You will probably get your out of state tuition waived at FSU, & their in-state tuition is low, so that is going to be an inexpensive option.

Texas Tech would also allow you to pay in-state tuition, & would give you a scholarship to cover the rest of the tuition.

Nebraska, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Kansas, Ok. State, & Mississippi would give you significant $.

Even if you got a huge scholarship from Ohio State, I doubt if it would compensate you for the abuse you would get in your home town.

Ha! My family is already giving me grief for even looking at OSU- my parents are both alumni of U of M Ann Arbor and my sister is there now @moooop

How about Indiana - Kelley??

Have you run the net price calculator at Notre Dame and Wisconsin?

Also, you seem to mostly like OOS publics, but they give little need based aid to OOS students.

@intparent Wisconsin is the only one that seems to not come down. Florida State, South Carolina, and Ohio state all five good scholarships based on merit. Michigan is instate, and Notre Dame would end up in the mid 30,000s for me.

@my2caligirls does IU give scholarships? I loved IU but they don’t seem to give many scholarships.

UI isn’t going to give you aid from OOS. As you are discovering, some do and some don’t.

@pbmcdoug @intparent IU does give OOS merit but it typically falls in the $11k/yr range, but with your stats and ACT score you may do better and I would definitely consider applying. See their site for deadlines and competitive scholarships as well. It’s not your cheapest option but still a decent value for the quality of the program.

I’ve heard it is harder to get in Kelley, though.
