Help with math problem.

Can someone help me? I don't know how to solve this.

pg 518 #16 BB 2nd Edition

** I used the periods to space out the numbers**

x l f(x)
2... -1
3... 0
4... 2
5... -3
6... 4
7... -5
8... 6

Several values of the function f are shown above. The function of g is defined by g(x) = f(3x+1). What is the value of g(2)?

The choices are:
(a) -5
(b) -1
(c) 0
(d) 2
(e) 4

g(x) = f(3x+1)
g(2) = f(3*2 + 1) = f(7)

f(7) = -5 = g(2)

Wow… that looks so simple after you did it! haha

Thanks.
