HELP with MATH SAT PROBLEM!

Hey guys.. I can't seem to solve this problem

It's a grid in:

The average mean of the test scores of a class of p students is 70.
The average of the test score of a class of n students is 92.
When the scores of both classes are combined, the average score is an 86.

What is the value of p/n ?

[(p70)+(n92)]/(n+p)=86

Yea I got that lol

But how do you get p/n

(sum of P scores)/(P # of students) = 70

Thus 70 P = sum of P scores

(sum of N scores)/(N # of students) = 92

Thus 92 N = sum of N scores

(sum of both P + N scores)/(P+N)=86

Substituting in you get

(70P + 92 N)/(P+N) = 86

Multiply both sides

70P + 92N = 86 P + 86 N

6N = 16P

Divide by 16

6N/16 = P

Divide by N

6/16 = P/N

wrong wrong wrong. well actually you just forgot one thing. anyways...
there is an easier way to do this
70p+92n=86(n+p)
8p=3n
p/n=3/8

Jman was just trying to explain how to arrive at the equation 70p + 92n = 86n + 86p.
