Hi,

Is anyone willing to read my common app essay for Harvard? I need help revising and editing to make it 500 words. I'm reusing the quote essay from Stanford.

Thanks.

bump bump bump

Stanford's essay had to be less than 4900 characters, which is okay for the Common App - since the common app can't be more than 6000..

yes no?

The common app give you 6000 characters, but they limit it to 500 words.

i dont get it 6000 characters is way more than 500 words. lol

i'll read your essay, i'm working on mine too.
i think i'm reusing my stanford picture one, since my college counselor cried when she read it.

They always give you 6000 characters for all the essays, but they suggest it to be under 500 words.

I'll read it - have submitted mine already (applied EA)

bump bump bump

I need help~!

mine is about 1000 words.. would that be bad?

I would think that is a bit long. Its supposed to be 500 words or so, but of course you can go a bit over, since they give you 6000 characters. Its not like they'll count your words, but they will be able to tell if its 500 words over limit.

bump bump bump

Whatever u guys decide to do, NEVER cut chunks off of ur essay just because u think it is too lengthy. Around 600-700 is fine, and can actually work to ur advantage. But 1000 is exorbitant.

ill read it

bump bump bump thanks zucky.

no prob lap :)

haha did u like my essay?

i'll read it too

bump bump bump

I'll read it =)
