Help with my decision

I have applied to several schools and was admitted to all of them including UF. I had narrowed down my choices to Auburn and UF. I had toured both schools and loved both of them a lot. When I got my acceptance from UF I was absolutely delighted and so I "jumped in with both feet" very quickly. I was excited for a few weeks and then reality finally caught up with me. I realized that pretty much everything is such a big process when you try to do anything that involves UF. I understand it is a big school, but it is so frustrating. I have started to get cold feet after reading some different comments over the last few months.

Gainesville is about 7 hours from where I live so I won't be able to come home very often unless I have a three or four day weekend or for breaks. Auburn is about 4 hours from my home so I could come home a little more often. One of the things that worries me is Florida's big campus and student body. Is it hard to make friends and get around the campus easily? Are people friendly or do they snob you? I had read that they aren't as friendly, but I'm wondering if that is just from one person's perspective.

Another thing I have noticed is that it seems hard to get the admissions counselors or anyone at all to answer any questions you have. Other schools send me lots of stuff and they are always prompt and polite when it comes to questions and emails. I have never heard much from Florida and it seems like they are doing me a favor by sending me anything at all.

I know that there are a lot of students that go to Florida, but are the class sizes huge? What is the largest class that anyone has encountered so far? Do some classes have so many students that you get pushed into an online class?

I'm not trying to go on a rant or anything. I'm just hoping someone can answer some of my questions so I can finally make the right decision for next year. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love UF, but these things discourage me from picking it. Thanks for any help.

UF is huge school. You will find all kind of people but 99 % students and staff are friendly. Student body is diverse in their interests and it`s relatively easy to find students and groups you will feel comfortable with. They have clubs for everything you can imagine. There are so many activities going on campus every day that it is hard to choose which one to attend. UF is definitely a place to explore different interests and try new ones both academic and non-academic.
I experienced less contact from UF than other schools I was accepted and never got response to some emails I sent. It made me wonder if I made mistake choosing to attend UF. That however changed once I started on campus. I love UF. Advisors, FinAid etc respond to emails usually same day. Anytime I have visited advisor, student offices etc I have gotten friendly response.
