Alright, so I signed up for the JUne SAT test and decided that I was not ready to retake it, due to studying for AP tests and SATII’s, and would simply retake in Oct. However, this idea just came to me today. Since I’ll be cancelling the score anyway by not showing up to take it, should I just go anyway? Right now i’m retaking a

780-M
690-CR
720-W

and i will be putting like 90% of my attention on increasing my CR to about 750+ hopefully, since the schools I’m looking at take superscore. Should I just go in on June, and if I happen to think I did well on the CR (i can usually tell pretty well after taking a test), keep the score. If I feel like I did poorly, I would just cancel after taking it. I feel like I have chance to do better on the CR this time because in March, the sentence completions were really weird and I got 4 wrong, but I’m usually pretty strong in that section.

But my main concerns about this are:

If you cancel a score in the testing room, or anytime within the limit, will colleges see that you cancelled an SAT, or will nothing at all, show up on your score report?

How long do I have to cancel my score? Can I just come on CC, read threads and discussions about the test, gauge how well I did, and make a decision about cancelling afterwards, all with a gaurantee that if I do decide to cancel, the cancellation won’t appear on teh score report?

*If *colleges do see that you’ve cancelled, will they look down on it?

Basically, I probably won’t do this if a cancellation could possibly tarnish my SAT score report.

Thanks for your help!
