Help with my schedule?

Hello! This is super long, so I apologize in advance…

I’m an incoming freshmen this year and I was wondering if I could get some advice on my classes. I have older friends (juniors and seniors) who are pre-med who have already looked at my schedule and recommended teachers and such. The common consensus is that it is doable, but may be challenging.

My intended major is developmental biology/physiology, but I’m taking very general, pre-req classes for many science majors.

1st Semester (16 credits)
Bio
Chem I w/lab
Calc I (already took Calc AB last year and I loved it, so this will be a review even though I have AP credit)
Religion
Writing

**what breaks my heart about this is that I can’t have both the easy/best teachers for bio and chem because they teach at the same time. I’m thinking I’ll settle for the better chem teacher and then take an evening class for bio with a teacher that’s really awesome, passionate, and helpful, but very challenging.

2nd Semester (16 credits)
Human Anatomy w/lab
Chem II w/lab
Calc II
Religion
History

I also could take Calc I my second semester and take like Soc or some random elective my first semester and then take Calc II during the summer if I can…or just never take it.

Since my parents are helping out with my undergrad, I’m not going to work freshmen year, but plan on doing volunteer work and adjusting to college.

Also, it might be important to know that I’m taking a couple years off after freshmen year to be a missionary. Then, I’ll come back and finish my last 3 years. I don’t know if that changes anything.
