Hello, recently I have been accepted to Elmhurst and Loyola in Chicago, the problem is that I don't want to go to either of these schools. I want to do Aerospace and mechanical engineering and I haven't received acceptances from any schools yet, although it is to early. My mom told me to just go to Loyola and major in business and I can still be an engineer. But I told her it doesn't work like that. How can I explain to my mom how having an engineering job works because I am completely stressed by college and this isn't helping?

I don’t see what the conflict is really. Did you apply to other schools and now waiting for acceptances?

Is Loyola giving you a deadline to accept or reject their offer?

Did Loyola offer a big scholarship and your mom expects to save a lot of money sending you there?

I’m not sure what your exact conflict is all about.
