<p>I have recently applied for early decision to my dream college. All I have to do know is send in a letter of recommendation.The school only wants one letter so my two choices are my AP Language teacher from last year, I did well in his class and spoke out often, or my world religions and AP Psych teacher who I had last year and again this year. I feel like my psych teacher knows me better, I never got to know my lang teacher that well, but I don't know what colleges would prefer. Does it matter?</p>

<p>My school advises us to send an English recommendation as one of our recommendations, as that is a subject that most schools consider highly important.
Also, as Murphy600 said, having a core class would be better, especially if it’s only 1 recommendation.
I’d say go with the English teacher, you were good in her class and she’d be able to write you a good letter.</p>
