Help with Pharmacy Major

<p>I live in New Jersey, and I'm a Senior. So obviously Rutgers is one of my top choices.</p>

<li><p>Other than Rutgers Pharmacy, what other schools are good for Pharmacy (Originally, I didn't want to leave New Jersey, but Rutgers is the only option, so I have expanded to New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Connecticutt. Looking for somewhat cheap schools or at least one with financial aid possible.</p></li>

<p>Pharmacy schools are graduate schools (i.e. require a bachelor’s degree). Get a bachelor’s, complete pre-pharmacy prerequisites, then apply to pharmacy school. In that order. Some colleges offer accelerated (usually 7-year) programs that award bachelor’s and Pharm.D. degrees, but they’re really selective.
Pharmacy is deeply rooted in biology and chemistry. If you don’t like the sciences, you won’t like pharmacy. You might just like the idea of being a pharmacist.</p>
