Help With Postage

Hey would you put 2 or 3, 37 cent stamps for a 9x12 envelope? how about a regular #10 white envelope? Considering that you are sending letters of recommendation/secondary school reports. Thanks

You need to get the tracking type service from the US Postal Service. Have the postoffice tell you.......put some sheets and envelopes into your envelope, weigh and get the sticker for tracking mail. You can watch online when it goes into the system and when it is delivered. Should be no problem to make sure school has it.......you will have a confirm. i would not do this plain post. No Way.....to important. You can get this done at any postoffice and then give the envelope to your instructors......they just fill, seal and drop.

Always put an extra stamp if in doubt.
As for tracking - send the application using trackable service (certified). It is not that important to have letters of recommendations, school report, etc. sent that way. If they don't make it to Stanford, the admissions will notify you about "missing materials", and give you a couple of days to have those faxed to their office.

"Delivery Confirmation" is the least expensive trakable mail service from the USPS. Of course you can recreate any missing articles but why get involved in that process when for very low investment money you can trak your precious application materials. Many schools do this and most students I know have been doing this for a number of years. Some kids send out 20 applications.....who wants to keep trak of the mail supporting numerous applications......most folks I know, the esay way, on their computers.

usually a 9x12 is around 60 cents assuming there are 2-3 papers in it...so if you put 2*37s you are good to go
