Okay, so I have to choose my classes next week and I'm stuck on what to do for math. Should I take pre-calculus at an honors level regular? I don't have a large interest for math; however, I do pay attention and understand concepts. I'm not afraid to ask questions or for help when I need to either. I understand geometry & trigonometry at least at a fairly well level. I went through those two courses without using a graphing calculator and learned to do problems either on paper and pencil or mentally. What do you guys think? Honors or regular? Also what is the real difference(s) between honors & regular. Thanks!

If you are even the least proficient in math - take honors. Regular math at my school is really pitiful and for kids who are plagued with absolute apathy or have legitimate difficulty comprehending simple concepts in math.

Judging by your self-evaluation, you should be fine with taking pre-calc at honors level.

Experience varies but for my class, a lot of the material in pre-calc was review of the concepts I learned in Algebra 2 including some of the basic trigonometry. It was basically a whole year of Algebra 2 condensed into one semester, and one semester of trigonometry. The trig is probably going to be new material to you but as long as you try to understand and ask questions, it shouldn’t be too difficult.

Regular math is a joke in my school. Take honors.

Okay, thanks. Plus, I would not be able to concentrate in a regular class at all! I need a serious, silent environment.
