help with pre med

hello, im new here in the USA and i’m really confused with a lot of questions regarding my education.

  1. the requirement for admission to pre med ( like do i need SAT/ACT, letter of recommendation, college essay. i know i need these when applying for medical school but how about pre med )
  2. any recommended colleges that are not expensive 3.can i take the courses in community college 4.would you recommend in majoring in something instead of taking the pre med courses how would that affect my acceptance for taking loans or finacial aid 5.do the courses start in fall ( September ) or any semester just like community colleges 6.if community college is an option in which city would you recommend preparing, Los Angeles or San Francisco

please answer me and help me with these question. let me know of any tips you have, that would be very helpful.
thank you

Because you are new to the US, community college might be the best place to start. Be sure to take courses which will set you on a premed track. Attending community college for one or two years will allow you time to familiarize yourself with the US education system. Then, you could choose to transfer to another school to receive your bachelors degree and apply to med school.

Premed isn’t a major. All premeds major in something else AND take the premed prereq courses.

Premeds major in WHATEVER they want…English, History, Bio, Chem, Music, whatever! Makes no difference to med schools.

Do you have a green card?

How much can your family pay each year for college?

What state did you move to? That’s the state that you’ll get instate rates for next year.

I heard med school doesn’t like students taking their prerequisites in a Communtiy college
