Help with project? (heh heh)

Hello! I apologize for a completely irrelevant post on CC but I'm kinda desperate right now and people on CC have been really helpful :3

I've been assigned a Chemistry project - a write up on a material with interesting properties (i.e. carbon nanotubes, kevlar, teflon, alumina ceramics, fluoropolymers, polyacrylate, butyl rubber) The catch is that we're not allowed to write on any of the abovestated materials :/

Do any of you have ideas on what I can write on? (that is of comparable difficulty)
Thank you so much for your help & sorry for invading this forum with irrelevant stuff - again!

Oreo cookies ought to have some interesting properties?

hohos?
flame retardant pajamas
whats silly putty made of
super glue

don’t forget big macs!

The “high tech” materials are easy to be impressed with. Here are some low-tech wonders:

Cornstarch: as a gel, it is a non-Newtonian fluid (mix some in water to make a slurry, then stir it quickly with your fingers to see interesting effect)

Carbon: the polymorphs (graphite, diamond, carbon black) have such radically different forms and properties

Strange properties of Water: high latent energy; solid state is less dense than liquid–thank goodness for that, or all bodies of water on the face of the earth would freeze bottom up (would kill most living things) instead of top down

Jello: is it a liquid or a solid?

Do jello! GMTplus7, you are a genius!
