I was wondering if there is a difference in admissions chances if applying regular decision/early action through Questbridge or just through the college.

Also, I submitted the College Prep Scholarship and was notified as a winner I guess in some categories (such as invitation to the conference at Yale). How good is the National College Match? It seems good because you can basically, as I interpreted it, apply early decision to up to 8 colleges and get admission to the first one of your choice if you are admitted.

As well, if you are a finalist but get denied in the early decision, can you apply on your own later?

Absolutely. College use QB specifically to recruit low income students, meaning you will have a “leg up” on other applicants if you become a QB finalist.

Yup. QB is the only way you can apply ED to more than one school.

Yes; in fact, that is what usually happens. About 50% of applicants become finalists, but only 10% of those finalists get matched in the early match process. The rest forward their apps in the regular admissions process to be considered in the normal pool. How the schools process your app will depend on which colleges you apply to; a comprehensive list of the procedures for each college can be found here: [QuestBridge National College Match - Regular Decision Table](http://www.questbridge.org/students/post_match.html)

Oh sweet. Thanks for clearing that up! I understand it a lot better now.
