Aah I'm having a hard time choosing my R&C. I'm intending to get one of the R5As coz I heard they are easy. Is that true? Currently debating German or Italian R5A. Stuff like College Writing, English and Rhetoric are a no-no, I heard they are absolute GPA killers.

So, how are Italian/German R5A? I know they are all conducted in English but are they like interesting? And more importantly, are they easy to score in? =P

What do you all do for the final exam?

All the good and easy ones are taken by upperclassmen on the first day of telebears. Of course, making a judgement simply based on department is a myth as there are pretty tough Italian/German R5A’s while there are easy English/Rhetoric R5A’s.

You should first go to each department’s website and read each section’s course description and pick the topic that interests you. Mind you, most R&C courses are full at this point.

Actually, there are lots of open R&C courses:

[UCB Online Schedule of Classes: Search Results](http://osoc.berkeley.edu/OSOC/osoc?y=7&p_term=FL&p_deptname=--+Choose+a+Department+Name+--&p_classif=--+Choose+a+Course+Classification+--&p_presuf=R&x=48)

L&S R44 is an open one. It fulfills either half of the R&C requirement (good if you don’t know what your AP English score is) and any one of several different L&S 7-course breadth requirements, in one 5 unit course.

I don’t think the schedule website is updated. I just checked telebears and it says that the only available R&C courses are Asian american studies and Comp lit.
