So for my humanities rec, I asked my sophomore English teacher to write one. There wasn't really a better choice as my junior English teacher is a horrible teacher and my history teacher left on maternity leave and had a substitute for the remainder of the year, and I don't really want to hope for a good teacher this fall.

That said, she says she asks all of her students to write a letter of recommendation for themselves and give it to her for her to look over and edit.

What exactly should be in such a recommendation letter? I'm not really sure what to put in. I would appreciate if anyone here could help.

This link is for writing letters of recommendation for fellowships, but it applies to colleges too. [Writing Letters of Recommendation | Application Process | Fellowships | Academics | Yale College](<a href=“Yale College”>Yale College)
It’s obviously not good to write your own letter of recommendation, because it’s not really coming from her, so it’s not genuine.

I realize that; should I wait for the fall of senior year then? I know my AP Psychology next year teacher fairly well, but not from a classroom context. But would that be too late for the early action deadline?

Otherwise, is there anything specific that should come from a humanities recommendation (as opposed to a math/science one)?
