Help with Senior Schedule

im an A student from miami,

unweighted gpa so far 3.8 and a junior

for next year, i chose

AP govt & ec.
AP music thory
english 4 honors
AP calc AB
Financial Accounting
Interior Design 3 - slack
PE/ Drivers Ed
Forensic Science

the question is if i should take an ap science, our school has AP Chem and Bio, no physics, (btw im in reg physics now)

but i dont wanna take chem ap, cuz i no it will kill all my time, cuz i was in it this year for a couple weeks
so i chose "forensics"

but i was thinking of switching "pe/drivers ed" with AP Stat,

but is AP Stat an easy class, especially while taking calculus?

that way i would have a nice balance, 4 aps, and 4 reg-easy classes

any suggestions
thnx

Depends on what type of teacher one has-some AP Stats classes are easy and others are *****es. Overall, I would say no, the course is not very difficult. You might as well take AP Chem-some schools like strong senior schedules. Besides, I don't find this class very challenging either. Finally, is PE required? If it is, then you have no choice but take it. AP Calculus AB is hard for some (again, depends on how much material and and how well it was covered in previous years...some schools start the calculus book in 11th grade so AB students are left reading 3 chapters for a year.) Here, taking both Stats and AB Calc would not be very difficult. Otherwise, there might be a problem as some places make calculus a lot harder than it really is.
I would also ask another question: Are you interested in forensics? If so, then that course would be better than some of the others on the schedule (interior design, for example.)

^thanks kman for the fast reply,

well i already had my pe credit, i was just gonna take the driver ed/ pe wheel the get the "insurance discount"

since next year is supposedly 8 class schedule instead of 6, that is why i picked these extra electives, like interior design 3, i took 1 and 2 last year, so figured to take the third one, to gain the "academy diploma"

you see this high school is academy based, i was in the artec "interior design classes" but this year i switched to business, and thats why im taking "financial accounting" next year, and to complete this "academy" u need 3 years of these classes, thats why i chose ID3,

sorry for the long explanation
but anyways, this "academy" thing is probably worthless to colleges, just academic electives probably.

i picked forensics cuz i really didnt wanna go back to ap chem, i was in it this year and it was murder, thats why i left, so much damn homeowrk,

i know i would be able to handle it, but would face the scenario of being overkilled and working everyday til 1 in da morning, or just chillen, pass with a B or C average and do ok on the AP Test,

so to avoid all that i chose forensics.

Ok, I suggest taking a keyboarding class because the way you wrote all of that doesn't make too much sense.

Also, don't worry so much. Just don't slack off senior year and you're set.

^^^ YES!!! Take keyboarding. It is the best class EVER. It's extremely easy and extremely relaxing. I got all my chem labs done in that class and managed a 100 easily. Do it!!

wat u mean keyboarding class, if u mean the class where u just sit on the computer and do these "modules" and really chill, im in that class rite now lol, its all slack, and definetly a good class to skip or do homework in

I just actually looked at your schedule, and don't worry about "slacking off." Unless your god's gift to music, you'll have a lot of fun in AP music theory.

I heard music theory was hard.

I was being sarcastic - someone needs to develop a sarcastic font so people can tell when I am being serious or not. I have a few friends in music theory and well...they love it, but half the time they have no idea what is going on. The teacher is good and helps them along and everything, but the material is really difficult unless you know music.

Yeah, at our school only band geeks (3+ years of band) can take AP Music Theory to prevent music illiterates (like me) from signing into it.

^o crap, i better rethink that and maybe pick "music theory" regular instead..

my senior year shedual when i was in Hs

8AM-9:15am-Music
9:15am-10:00am-Health
10:00:11:45AM-Economics

then i went to the gym and home.

get a life kid hs means nothing
