Help with Sentence Correction Grammar

<p>I chose A, because "in the writing" doesn't seem like the proper idiom. Shouldn't it be "in the making"?</p>

<p>The correct answer is C, and I don't understand what's wrong with that either. Should it be "of"?</p>
