Could you please help me with my next sem schedule? I am a ME major.

Is Physics 7B a prereq for EECS100?
Are 7B, EECS100, Stats20, and ME104 doable? Or shd I do Humanities instead of one of them?
Any Prof. recommendations for 7B and stats20?

It doesn’t necessarily say that 7B is a prereq for EE100, but there are 7B ideas, mostly stuff with electricity, especially when it comes to circuits. However, I don’t know if that means having taken 7B will make or break your time in EE100, seeing that I haven’t taken the class yet.

Can’t say much about your four classes, but doesn’t look like a semester for you to slack off and such. As for prof recommendations for 7B, both McKee and Huang are good.

I had Huang, and I thought he was very good. He wants to make sure we understand concepts, gives us alternate perspective in explaining concepts, and often brings home why we care about what we’re learning (although he has a lot of astrophysical examples, such as when he talked about dark matter and dark energy after deriving the Ideal Gas Law). And he’s pretty friendly. He does tend to get behind schedule. Hopefully, it won’t be as bad as last year, when he pretty much “caught up” using Powerpoint. Now, I was fine with the Powerpoint slides. Most others… not so much.

His tests are mostly fair, but can be challenging (resistor cubes… aww yeah…).

Thank you, 910eggmen. Very useful. I will go with Huang. I asked about 7B being a prereq because it says so in the new curric.flowchart but not on EE website.

All lower division ME completed except ME40.

Which of these would u recommend?
- Physics 7B, EECS100, Stats20, SAsian 124
- Physics 7B, ME104, Stats20, SAsian124
- Or shd I just take 3 courses and a seminar and do a fourth in the summer?
