Help with strategy...

Hello,

I am trying to help my SO out with applying to law school. LSDAS GPA is ~4.2 and will be taking the LSAT in September expecting ~175. However all classes are almost exclusively technical (EECS Berkeley) and won't have any law-esque extracurriculars. Summer internships at engineering companies, undergrad/grad research, published, 1 conference talk, and MS expected to complete this Spring (2010).

Not necessarily considering patent law, but should that be the focus of the personal statement since there is technical strength? Gonna be staying in California (Stanford, Berkeley, Hastings, UCLA, USC, Loyola) hopefully.

Any other advice would be helpful also. Thanks for reading and for any help you can provide.

With a 4.2 and 175 you’d be elligible for every law school there is. If you don’t want to do patent law, there’s no need to.
