<p>I'm a college sophomore looking into internships for next summer. Last year, I applied for a study abroad program in Oxford and was accepted, but deferred it due to financial issues. I really want to go because I'm an English major and studying English at Oxford is my dream, but the program is from July 4 to August 14. I go to Northwestern, which is on the quarter system, so summer is approximately from June 13 to September 20. My question is, are there any internships that take place between June 13 and July 4 or August 14 and September 20? An oddly specific question, I know, and it is very unlikely that anyone will know one off the top of his/her head, but if you could let me know about any very short summer internships there may be, or an efficient way to search for some, that would be a tremendous help to me!</p>

<p>Are you trying to do summer school at Northwestern? If not, why did you defer the Oxford program? I would have just taken out a loan ($6000-7000) to cover the expenses.</p>
<p>Most internships are understanding if you tell them upfront where you attend. You need to apply before March to have a successful chance of summer internships.</p>
