Yeah.. I just wanted to see what you guys had to say about this summer program, the Presidential Classroom. Do colleges care at all if I take this summer program or is it a waste of time?

colleges will not care that you did the Presidential Classroom -- they are, however, looking to see what you did with your summer. productive activities (classes, working, volunteering, independent study or research, etc) are always looked upon more favorably than sitting by the pool working on your tan.

The program is only a waste of time or money if you don't get anything out of it -- if it is an area you are interested in and you want to learn more, by all means -- go. I know several kids who have been to the program and enjoyed it and felt that it was time well spent. There are others who feel it is a waste of time. Definitely don't go if you have already visited the area or done some of the activites they will be doing -- then it would be a waste of time.
