(I’ll chance anyone who replies)
I’m currently a junior, and I’m kind of starting to feel really worried about my college applications concerning ECs. I’d like to apply to a bunch of more competitive schools (I’m thinking about UNC Chapel Hill, Cornell, Dartmouth, Brown, Duke, MIT, Berkely, UCLA, and Tufts), and I feel like my ECs are really going to hurt me.
Here’s what I’ve got in the EC department as of now:

Sports:
-Synchronized Skating (9)… I had actually been doing this since 5th grade. I quit because almost everyone on our team left as well, and because I wanted to take up debate and the tournament schedule clashed.
-Go-Karting (11)

Clubs:
-Anime Club (11)
-Save the Children Club (11)

Summer:
-Two weeks of skating camp (9)
-Four weeks of volunteering with children in art camps (10)

Other:
-Piano since 1st grade (9, 10, 11)
-Debate (10)… I got 3rd at States. Unfortunately to do it you have to take a class, and I quit for scheduling reasons.
-Chinese exchange trip (11)
-NHS (11)
-I’ve got about 150 hours of community service overall.

Work: NONE ☹

Stuff I’m thinking of doing:
-Starting a musical charity club
-Some sort of summer internship this summer, though application results have not yet come back so I’m not sure what exactly
-I’m probably volunteering at a hospital this summer
-Working for my dad
-Getting a job at a nearby restaurant
-Starting an online business?

Note: Every year I have something that I really pour my time into (skating freshman year, and debate sophomore year, go-karting junior year), but it changes every year…. Which is a big problem…

I’m terrified that my spotty record concerning my ECs will really hurt me. I haven’t got a lot of time left until I’ll be sending out college apps, and I figure that I better do something fast to fix things. What should I do to fix my ECs problem? What’s the best use of my time? Should I try and do several things or should I just really focus on one thing like go-karting? Is starting a club a good idea for a leadership role?

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)
