Well, i was not really sure where to post this, so i guess I'll ask here.

Do schools like Harvard and Yale, when looking at an ACt score, take just the english / math for the composite and then look at the other categories as subject tests? I ask because I was wondering if my score would average out to a 34 or 33...

so do the math and english sections not factor into like a general category? I was a bit confused because alot of sites say that an act average is like 3x for math / english. I was wondering why it did not just say act composite.

Are the sites individual college websites, or admission advice sites? From everything I’ve read, generally the composite is used (also in the conversion to SAT tables.)
