I am from Maryland so my mom and I were wondering if she road trip to UA to visit, or fly? Whichever is cheaper. If we fly, we would be flying out of BWI airport. What airport would be best to fly to? Also, if we fly should we get a rental car, or could we catch a bus or something to campus? Also please let me know about hotels too! THANKS 
You would probably fly into Birmingham airport. Yes, you probably would need to rent a car.
Driving would probably be less expensive, depending on flight fares for two people plus car rental.
Hampton Inn on Harper Lee Rd can be a more economical but nice choice…and close to campus. Check the Rae’s of Capstone Hotel, too.
Will it just be two people coming? Or will other family members be coming, too?

Before you make the trip, please have your mom run the Net Price Calculator on Bama’s website. You’re a transfer student and OOS costs are quite high and there is very little aid to help with costs.
Is your mom ok with paying $40k per year for Bama?
