ok, so I'm an international, and colleges say that I'm required to provide them with official transcript copy and official translation. My school gives sth LIKE TRANSCRIPT, once a year, and in only one copy. It's not possible to get 5 official school reports.

I will then have to go to translation agency and to notary too, and I'll spend much money on it.

I've just thought about asking principal for simple list of subjects taken and grades (in english), with school stamp on it. Do you think it will be ok?

hi.. i am an international student too... i jus went n spoke to my principal... i got my courses n grades typed out in school letterhead and asked the principal to sign it with the school's seal....

is your school english-based? or eng is in official language in your country? I'm not sure whether my principal is allowed to traslate reports...

One of my friends posted his "swiadectwo" and, well, they didn't even recalculate it. He got into Caltech.

My school has done the same for a couple of applicants in the past few years, and there were no real problems with it.

Sorry, haven't noticed your post, lots of workload lately. If you are unsure, you can always call/email your uni about this. Calling solves everything. I haven't seen many schools being THAT strict about transcripts.

I'm applying Stanford SCEA, and crossing my fingers to get in. Not super strong stats, but maybe... maybe...

As for names - I don't know, I don't have this problem :) But CommonApp cuts polish signs (other than "
