I am planning to transfer to five different universities. I’ve noticed that all five require a calculus pre-req (for econ major). At my current institution, I was exempted from taking the calculus course requirement by taking a math exemption exam. How can I explain this? Should I email them individually? Would this decrease my chances of admission?
It would help others help you if you named the five transfer targets, your current school, and what test you took (AP, IB, A-level, CLEP, or school-specific) for the exemption.
You could consider taking a more advanced calculus course. Check your transfer targets to find out if that will fulfill their requirements. More math is generally better for an economics major anyway.
