Help with transferring from UC, and want to double major

I want to tranfer to another university as a double major in Statistics and Performance Music. I recently got interested in Stats, but UCI only has a minor for it. I also did not get accepted into the music program, and I want to apply to multiple schools to increase my chances of getting in. Auditons for 3rd year fall students are starting 2017 of Jan/Feb.

I would like to go to UCSD the most, but UCR is also fine. Can I apply to multiple schools for transfer from a UC? And is it possible to apply to Cal State Fullerton? I wouldn’t mind going there. UCR and CSF would be my safety schools.

What are my chances of getting accepted? And is there anything in particular I need to prepare, or anything I can do as a second year to help my chances of getting accepted? And when are transfer applications to get in as a junior due?

Yes, you can apply to transfer to as many schools as you want, although you need to check each potential destination school for transfer eligibility, selectivity, and suitability for your intended majors.

In terms of preparing to transfer, you need to consider the major requirements for your majors at your potential destination schools, so that you can take courses to cover the prerequisites, in addition to taking courses for an alternate major at your current school should you decide to stay there.
