<p>UC Davis has been my top choice for attending college since I was a child, when I would take trips up from my home in Southern California to visit my aunt, who lives in Sacramento. My parents took me to see the campus one time during one of these trips, and I fell in love with the college-town, vibrant school spirit, and beautiful tree-laden campus. The academic rigor, numerous research opportunities, and different ways that Davis will allow me to contribute to the community through various volunteering opportunities and student organizations I feel will help me learn and grow as a person, and help me greatly in reaching my career goals. The down-to-earth personality of the student body in general makes me feel at home, and the school spirit is amazing. I believe that I can contribute to Davis by being a hardworking, social, and community-oriented individual, and would love the opportunity to attend and contribute to UC Davis these next 4 years.</p>
