hi everyone,

I would really like the latest version of USnews undergrad engineering ranking. Does anyone have that kind of information??
Thanks very much, it'll help me much on considering which colleges to apply!

The rankings vary between schools that offer doctoral programs and those that don't offer non-doctoral programs. They only list the top 100 schools in each category.
Here are the ratings for schools that offer doctoral programs:

Are there any kind of rankings for Creative Writing or English or ANY kind of related programs at colleges? I don't think there are any, although it should be done since there are rankings for several other areas of study.

I believe U.S. News has rankings for liberal arts college if I'm not mistaken.

The Gourman Report has undergrad rankings for English. US News once did a ranking of Creative Writing GRADUATE programs. Rugg's Recommendations lists top undergrad creative writing programs and English programs.

Taxguy- Do you know those peer assesment scores derived? According to these numbers much lesser known school like cooper union, harvey mudd, and cal poly have more respected engineering programs than harvard, duke, and ucla. I'm certainly open to that idea, but it's rather startling.

anyone have undergrad rankings for history majors for schools that don't offer doctoral programs? how can i access the gourman report online?

Sorry, I just copied these from US News. I know very little about the work that they put into it.

"Taxguy- Do you know those peer assesment scores derived? According to these numbers much lesser known school like cooper union, harvey mudd, and cal poly have more respected engineering programs than harvard, duke, and ucla. I'm certainly open to that idea, but it's rather startling."

That sounds about right to me. Harvard, Duke, and UCLA have never really been among the top in engineering programs. Cooper Union, Harvey Mudd, and Cal Poly have always been mentioned alongside MIT, Carnegie Mellon, and schools of that like.

Harvey Mudd and Cooper Union - I don't think they've always been mentioned alongside MIT and CMU...just from being on this site and knowing plenty of engineers

The Gourman Report is not available online. The Gourman Report focuses on universities that offer doctoral degrees, not LACs. Rugg's has recommendations for LACs in history.
