I took the sat in June and did fine except i messed up in the writing section. I know everyone says it is the easiest but can someone please tell me how to improve to get at least a 750. On my sat, i got a 580 in the writing section.

i got an 800 and used purely the collegeboard blue book - doing every practice test, and understanding what to look for will get you a 750

Hi, a 580 is very doable to get a high score. That score probably means there are only a few rules that you need to tackle. The way I did it was take a practice test from the Blue Book and look at an index of ALL the questions in the Blue Book and see where I had more problems in. The index I have is from a book that is going to be published soon called Ultimate Guide to SAT Grammar by Erica Meltzer from ultimatesatverbal.blogspot.com Check out her site, you will not be disappointed.

This is a post i made on another thread asking for grammar help." :

“There are tips, tricks, explanations; everything you could ask for in a grammar prep book for SAT. In the book there is a new section which has all the writing section from the practice tests in the blue book explained so you’ll see that the blue book may actually come in handy. The books complement each other. I can attest to the fact that you will, with a little bit of practice, definitely succeed in the writing/ grammar portion of the SAT. Good luck. Let me know if you have any questions. I can help you out.”
