-help!-writing Complexity!!!!----

Everytime that I read about one of the essays on these test, they always say vary your sentence structure. From simple- compound- complex. I cannot remember at all what seperates each type of sentence from another. Can someone please jog my memory?

-thanks

simple: I found a dog.
compound: I found a dog, and I brought him home.
omplex: While I was jogging, I found a dog and brought him home.

I think that's it.

Yeah it is.

Another way you can vary it is by including several clauses, for example:
I found a dog, a very smelly one, while I was jogging.

its all clear now--- :)

--I feel silly for asking

-thanks

Also,

Compound: I found a dog; he smelled badly.

Using the ';' correctly makes you look smart. :)

lol------------
