<p>i think it should be 'when' , it sounds better maybe</p>
<p>And it makes more sense. The learning is a result of the student listening, therefore its "which results when the student listens"; if it were a passive condition (the learning happens while the student listens, no relation) it would be "as" I think. Or maybe you'd never use as.</p>
