I have been admitted to a couple of uc. Two days ago I found out that my high school graduation year isn’t correct! I put 2013 instead of 2012 in the app. I am so worried about my mistake. What is the best way to fix this? Write a letters, phone, or email? Are they gonna cancel the admission?
You’ve been admitted. That means that they have probably seen your transcript. Your courses probably ended in 2012 so I would assume that the college figured it out. Even if they didn’t, what difference would it make? Just call them and they’ll fix it in their records.
Why would this sorry you? Am I missing something?
Thanks for your reply. They did not get the transcript , they do not require high school transcript. I am concerned because there is incorrect information in my app, even though it is not like wrong grades or something. I guess I will call them and see how it goes.
It’s not the worst thing that could’ve happened. Your HS graduation date isn’t something that’s considered for acceptance so they probably will not care. You didn’t even put that you graduated a year early, you wrote that you graduated a year later than you did. Either way, I highly doubt it will matter. Remember, the UCs aren’t like cops watching your every move and looking for any excuse to rescind your admission. Do let us know how it goes.
Several others including me made same mistake and it turned out alright for all of us so dont worry.Do let them know about this though
How does any college admit students without requesting and reviewing the high school transcript. That makes no sense.
Good news, UCSD has update the information and told me not to worry.
@lostaccount my high school transcripts weren’t requested. I think it’s rather rare for them to ask for high school transcripts from a transfer applicant.
