Hello, CC friends!

I have submitted my UC & Harvard apps in November 2009.
On the app, I said that I would take SAT WH in December 2009.
But I took SAT Math 1 intead since I was not prepared for WH.
I did register for score reports, and I believe the Math score was sent.

Should I notify the admissions office about this matter?
If so, which method is preferred: phone or mail?

Would this error be a minus for my application?
I noticed it now, and...
a considerable amount of time has passed since the December SAT :(

Advice please! Thanks.

Probably not a big deal at all, as long as your two subject tests (if either college requires two) didn’t end up being Math I and Math II and you’re not applying to an Engineering program (in which case Math II was probably a required subject).

Notify – I don’t think they’ll care, but it doesn’t hurt to tell them just in case (and I probably would, just in case). Mail is fine. Don’t say you weren’t prepared for WH; just say you took the Math test.

I have taken Physics, Chem, and Bio E in 2008…

Well, I guess I’ll just have to send an e-mail just in case!

Thank you so much :)

Email is the worst way to communicate with an admissions office. They get tons of email, much of it junk, and it’s very easy for your message to get buried. Fax or postal mail is better.

Thank you for the information :)

I had better send a paper mail right away!
