I'm a freshman at a magnet school that specializes in allied health sciences, however I'm coming to realize that the medical field just isn't for me, computer science is where my passion resides. I have already taken several courses over the summer in web design and I am planning on taking more during the course of the year. There is another magnet school on campus that specializes in computer science, but students are not allowed to transfer from one school to another, it has only been done once before. I realize that I would be behind next year in the IT classes they are taking now, but I'm willing to spend time over the summer and even now in order to transfer. I know I'm running out of time, and my freshman year is kind of a waste now, so I need to make a decision soon on my future. So basically my question is, should I see the principal of the computer science school to see if I can transfer, stay in the school I'm already in, or transfer to my local high-school for sophomore year? and Will this hurt my chances of getting into a good college? Thanks!

I can’t help you with your decision on whether to transfer or not, but self-studying for the CompTIA certification exams could be useful is you want to go into computer science. It depends where you imagine yourself career wise. ;)
