I'm a high school junior who hopes to apply and be accepted to Stanford for the class of 2016 but I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by the statistics and how I stack up. Can anybody help me out- advice, chance me, etc? I'm desperate! Anything is appreciated!

Well, if anyone were to chance you, you’d have to post info about yourself first…

OK. I’m in a special program in high school with a four-year curriculum designed around liberal arts, so we have high level courses in English, History, Art, Philosophy, etc. Outside of the program I’m in all honors classes (Physics, Spanish, Algebra). On a 5-point scale my GPA is 4.35, I get mostly A’s with the occassional B and I’m ranked in the top 9% of my class. I’ve taken one PSAT so far and I got an 1890 (Not very good…). I’m on the Chess Team, Mock Trial Team, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and I’m a super-involved Boy Scout. (Actually, I’m an Eagle Scout and I hold about a dozen other different titles and responsibilities). I have a job and am an employee in good standing. I have 170 hours of community service. I’m the son of a Cuban immigrant from the East Coast and I would be the first in my family to go to college.

im glad you got 1890/240. that’s 8 times a perfect score!

NDJS, I think he simply added the zero, which people suggest so that the testtaker can see a somewhat “accurate” idea of what they would’ve gotten on the actual SAT.

Sleeet is right. But can anyone chance me?
