Apparently people are saying that if I take the SAT I again in November and am applying ED...theres a chance that NYU will NOT see my score. Would rushing the score help it? I really need to improve on my score and ED will give me an upperhand when competing w/ applicants. IDEAS? I took the SAT I in October on 3 hours of sleep...I had done tremendous prepping since the March exam and I'm really not sure how well I did this time around. As of now I'm prepping for SAT II's and will see how well I did on the 24th and decide whether to change or not. What would be a good deciding score on whether to take SAT II's or SAT I?

It's true. Chances that your November scores will be looked at and considered are between slim and none. Rushing won't help. NYU asks that people NOT rush their scores anyway. What were your scores? Maybe you're worrying unnecessarily.

In March of last year I got a 1750 :-...I'm really not sure what I got on the second one that I took a few weeks ago..gonna find out October 24th - either barely any improvement or 1300ish and I'm just worrying because I know of the questions I got wrong. I did a lot of prep for the test so I don't see how I could not improve...we'll see. My EC's and Essay are great..GPA = 3.6 unweighted - school doesn't rank since its a competitive prep school...Courses = AP/Honors for the most part. EC's include companies I've started and leadership roles I've taken on. I'm stressing out somewhat of my chances...I really like NYU - so its gonna be a disappointment.

Matth should I go for RD or stick with ED? Are my chances better applying ED to Stern or no? Also, do you have AIM? if so can you pm me your screen name?
