help!!

Hi I was denied financial aid due to maximum timeframe, I tried to appeal it and that did not go as planned. What I was wondering is can I go to another school out here in california which is where I moved to and recieve financial aid? This is the only way I can afford to go to college! I also applied for financial aid and was granted the pell grant if that helps any?
Thank you in advance!

How were you granted the Pell grant if you were denied for financial aid? The FAFSA may say you are eligible for the Pell based on your EFC, only a school can actually award you the Pell grant.

Every school must have what is called a SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) policy to determine eligibility for federal financial aid. SAP includes things like minimum GPA requirement, minimum % successfully completed of all credits attempted (includes all credits attempted at any school), and a maximum number of total attempted credits (often around 100% of the credits required for your degree). It sounds like you do not meet SAP for your school. Whether you would be eligible for aid at another school would depend on their SAP policy and what your exact situation is (how many credits you have etc).
